Better Performance

Often times, we attach ourselves to the outcome of things we do, eg: participating in a competition, starting a new goal, etc.

What we do not realise is that is ruins our performance on these taks because our mind is purely clouded by the outcome. We do not give ourselves time to think about the task at hand.

Focus on the process of acting and the effort you put in(thinking in the present because the present moment's actions are in your control) instead of attaching yourself to the end result(the future result because the way the future turns out is not in your control).

  1. Working on the present moment can give the best results of the future.

  2. I sincerely feel we are like that though, to achieve things we always think about the end goal

    1. Taking part in goals wouldn't hurt even a bit. It even exposes us to learning and doing better

  3. But then, there is a saying that says tomorrow never comes, should i not enjoy today without thinking of outcomes of tomorrow? Because honestly tomorrow never comes. You can sabotage yourself Today for good outcomes tomorrow but the universe serves you worse than what you anticipated

  4. I get your point.. Live in the moment and do your best because tomorrow is not promised

  5. I believe we are like this because of how we were raised, we were always told to focus more on the future than the present.

    1. True. The previous posts show factors that contribute to our indifference. Family is some of them. It's just how we are raised

  6. Sometimes they say think ahead. So I believe people that are victims to this are those ones that believe in the " think ahead of you" concept
