Freedom and Authenticity:

Most people care about the opinion of others, thus they do or believe in things that society at large puts weight to.

This causes people to be shakled to the chains of conformity; producing inauthentic individuals who make most of their decisions based on what is socially accepted.

Note that there is a danger of taking it too far. Do not isolate yourself. Rather, live in society but act in accordance with your beliefs.

You will begin to take a path that those around you will feel like is weird, but this path is authentic to you. Be free to express who you are through chasing your specific goals and interests.

  1. I believe the way some of us were raised still determines how we view the world today. If I grew up knowing that if I do something either good or bad, I'm gonna get deep questioning of what I did, that mentality sticks to an extent that even when I have to do something for myself, I keep wondering what people will say afterwards. I think our different family up bringing really have an impact on us.
